  • Condition: This spoon is in good antique condition with a well cast handle with good detail still firmly attached to the bowl, and an attractive Gothic T monogram at the end of the bowl. The bowl has some light scratching, but no significant wear at it's end. On the bowl back there is a small crimp or crease where , on the other side, the central and longest part of the handle is attached to the bowl. It looks like the end of the bowl where there are three places where the handle is attached is slightly depressed. I have tried to provide closeups of all of this.

    Description

    This Wood & Hughes serving spoon has a handle of three naturalistic intertwined cast vines ending in two grape leaves..  At the bowl's end, the three vines feed into an architectural device before dividing into three points of attachment to the bowl.
    This spoon has an attractive T monogram in the Gothic style at the end of the bowl.  On the back it is marked for Wood & Hughes and sterling.
    It is 11.5" long and weighs 93 grams.
