Vintage Peruvian? folk art intricately carved gourd.

Description

The gourd features horizontal panels in the round of multi carved scenery and people in native costumes with instruments marching; some may be dancing and animals. The carving appears to be quite intricate with borders/strips of different patterns/designs. Shades of browns to dark browns. There is more paneled design on the top of gourd as well. The item is ale to free stand. It's signed on bottom A. Santiago near underside. Good condition, I see no cracks. I see minimal surface wear for its age. As found so I dont know what the wear was or if artist made to make it like this. Measures 7" X 7.5".
