VINTAGE ITALIAN SILVER ENAMEL PAINTED COMPACT
Description
For your consideration is a vintage Italian gilt silver enamel painted compact of a pastoral scene.
This compact has a square shape, measures 3” (7.5 Cm) and weighs 113 Grams including its beveled mirror. This compact was tested for silver content and was found to be 800 silver. The obscured mark at the last picture is most likely “800” silver standard of Italy. It is in very good condition with no signs of wear or tear, tarnish or monogram. Its mirror is original and is intact. It closes tightly and has no trace of prior use. (
