Presented is a fabulous Peruvian silver water pitcher, by Welsch. After Camusso, Welsch is likely the biggest name in Peruvian silver, very well known for the quality and attractiveness of their work. The pitcher is done in an elegant round bodied form, with a scrolled handle. This piece has been polished to a bright mirror shine on the exterior, and the interior is spotlessly clean.
The underside of the pitcher is stamped with the Peruvian llama mark, 900 for the purity of the silver, and the maker's mark for Welsch.
This piece is in excellent condition. There is a very minor ding at one point around the widest part of the body, which is quite hard to notice. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece stands about 5 3/4 inches tall. The pitcher has a capacity of about 6 cups (48 fluid ounces/1.4 liters).
The pitcher weighs 447 grams or 15.8 regular ounces.
