A solid sterling silver wine taster/tastevin.Wide, wavy-form bowl with short handle.
Handle decorated with medallion.
Bowl decorated with a Dutch village scene,

Marked to handle left of medallion:
"Dolphin" - Dutch mark for tax/duty;
Marked to bowl interior:
figural letter "H" or letters "IS" or a trademark;
initials "VB" probably for maker;
initials "S.B.L." for British retailer Samuel Boyce Landeck;
letter "F" for foreign manufacture;
"Crown" for city of Sheffield;
"Lion passant" for sterling silver;
script Gothic date letter "d" for 1896
