with natural berry pigments and/or dye from bark on cotton fabric. The colors are black, brown & white/cream.

Traditional Original Shipibo work which is now rarely seen and hard to find.
Painting on garments and other items with natural pigments is the way that the Shipibo used to decorate their items before turning to
embroidery
.
This item came from deep in the Amazon Rainforest from an area of over 8 hours river ride far from Pulcapa Peru.
The dimensions of the textile are: 1' 1/2" wide x 63" long.
It can beautifully be used as a wall hanging or draped over a table.
