Rhodolite garnet comes in red to purple tones. This trillion cut Rhodolite is deep red with bright red flashes when the light hits it. It is well cut - no windows and would make a nice ring or pendant. It is a natural, untreated gemstone and is eye-clean without visible inclusions, but you might be able to spot a tiny inclusion or two if you look really hard under 10X magnification since most natural gemstones born in nature has some, but all in all it is a clean gem. This garnet is 8mm and about 4mm in depth - check out the photos in the mm gauge for exact measurements. This gem weighs about 1.85cts.
I have decided to sell some gemstones that at one time I had the intention to use, but never got around to it. Please keep in mind, the stones are smaller than they appear in the photos, which are enlarged in order to show details and clarity, so please pay close attention to the dimensions. The colors might look a little different on different monitors so double check my description for color. I always say the weight is "about" a certain amount of carats because I realize that not all weight scales weigh in exactly the same and can be off by a tiny fraction up or down, but all in all my weight calculations are fairly accurate. Although I call the stone pre-owned because I owned it a long time, it is new condition - never used and has been stored carefully.
Please note I am not a gem dealer, although I probably have more knowledge about stones than most people since I have been collecting stones my entire life and studied color stones with the GIA. I'm just selling a few pieces I that never had the opportunity to use, and I'd like to see them go to someone who will enjoy and use them. I am not a store so I do not accept returns, as my goal is to thin out my collections, so please be sure you really love this gemstone before you buy it. To put your mind at ease about "no returns", if you find that any information about the materials in this item are not as described, which more than likely will not happen since I take lots of time in describing my pieces, I might consider a return, but I do not except returns if you have buyer's regret or if something doesn't fit, so please read the description carefully and feel free to ask any questions you might have before you bid or buy.
