Description
Peruvian spoon carved in oxidized copper.The most remote evidence of fine metal work in ancient Peru and America generally dates back to 1,500 BC.
The Moche were the best metallurgists of their time.
They used gold, silver, copper and their alloys, which were fused in kilns of various types (such as huayra).
They gilded copper much earlier than in Europe and met a variety of techniques, such as rolling, hammering, wiring, welding, etc.
It is a type of ceremonial spoon used in ancient Peru made of bronze by artisans of Cusco.
This work was elaborated with the ancestral technique of hammered and laminated.
