Description

This pair of antique Spanish colonial sterling silver curtain tie backs are decorated with Peace Doves surrounded by Olive Branches. These decorative doves, created using the silversmith technique of repousse, hold back lace as well as heavy tapestry curtains. Please see photos for the locations of the brass brackets and the silver hold backs. I think these are milagros that were turned into curtain holders. Original owner paid 00 a piece in the early 90's.
Measurements: Each Dove Tie Back: 5 1/4" wide x 8 1/2" long,
One weighs: 196 grams &
the other weighs 197 grams
Bracket: 3.5" long
Silver Tie Back Hook: 5 1/4" long
Condition: minor scratches and scuffs from wear and usage, minor repair on the tail on one dove. Tarnished from age, needs polishing. Please see photos.
