    Description

    This listing is for a Large 1887 Antique Dutch Windmill Spoon. At the top of the handle is a traditional Dutch Windmill with moveable blades. Below that are 2 fish facing each other. In the bowl of this spoon is what looks like a coat of arms with Dutch Republic Lion standing on its hind legs. The back of the spoon also has the 2 fish facing each other.
    This 133-year old spoon is in excellent condition and weighs 86 grams or 2.76 troy ounces.
    This spoon has the date mark for 1887 on the windmill which was the letter "C".
    There is a small sword mark on one of the blades that was used between 1814-1905. This is also marked on the edge of the bow a Lion and Key mark which was used between 1853-1953 and signified that this was made for the export market.
