Presented is a superb quality Peruvian sterling silver teapot or coffee pot. The pot is done in a handsome classical form, with a finial and handle carved from rich mellow wood. The spout, top and base of the handle, and the finial feature beautifully cast and applied designs of scrolled acanthus leaves, in high, detailed relief, for a wonderful textural element. The interior of the pot is spotlessly clean, while the exterior is polished to a bright high finish, ready for use or display.
This piece is in excellent condition. The wooden handle and finial have no splits, no cracks, and no repairs. The silver has no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the piece is stamped Peru and 925 for sterling (925) purity silver.
The pot stands about 7 3/4 inches tall. The capacity is 5 cups (40 fluid ounces/1.18 liters)
