Graziella Laffi substantial stering silver and copper large chest/box keyed lock. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box. This extremely rare work of art by legendary master jeweler Italian/Peruvian Graziella Laffi measures approximately 7 inches long by 5 inches wide by approximately 3 and 3/4inches high. The predominate metal is pounded/stamped copper with generous amounts of sterling silver masterful executioner. The center depicts a warrior/king in a large headrests with 3 birds above it. There is a figure attached to each of his hands/arms ending plants. The angled edges of the lid have sterling silver triangular design with what appears to me to each have a serpent head. The large silver escutcheon has 6 small circles engraved in the design. There are many shades of brown, green, rust and combinations of these colors. Verdigris and uneven coloring throughout. There are 4 square feet. The left lower side of this casket is bent in, but can probably be put back into its original form. The lid still closes correctly and the lock and key work. The red fabric lined interior has some discoloration. The left side of the escutcheon is stamped Peru G,Laffi 925. The sterling silver shows oxidation, and I have never polished it. This is the largest and most intricate piece I have ever seen of her work. 1929-2009. This box shows many and much signs of wear. The total weight is 2 and a half pounds. The Peru g. Laffi 925 stamp is hard to see, and the last picture Showa a closeup of the indented side.
