Fab Quality Austrian .800 Silver Pierced Openwork Serving Tray Late 1800s

Description

Presented is a fantastic Austrian silver serving tray from the late 1800s. The tray features beautifully done ornate pierced work, and repousse work around a blank cartouche in the center. The tray is raised on four spade legs, with junctures to the body in the shape of the Green Man's head or possibly a 'North Wind' type of figure. There are handles at either end of the tray, with dolphin or fish head junctures to the tray. This is an excellent piece of Austrian silver work, done in .800 purity silver, and would make an excellent addition to any home or collection.
This piece is hallmarked on the underside with Diana's head mark for .800 purity silver, but the letter indicating the assay office is somewhat obscured, possibly a B for Linz or an L for Ljubljana but we are not sure. There is also a 'FR' mark, likely for the maker.
This piece is in great overall condition. There have been some professional solder repairs, to one of the dolphin's head decorations and some of the pierced work, however this is very hard to notice and requires close inspection. The underside has some scratches, likely where a sample was taken for an assay office. There are no other problems.
The piece stands 2 3/4 inches tall and is approximately 15 3/4 inches long.
The piece weighs 727 grams.
