English Sterling Silver, Blue Guilloche Enamel Ladies Compact

This listing is for a lovely vintage English Sterling Silver and Guilloche enamel ladies compact. The lid/top is covered with soft blue Guilloche enamel with engine turned starburst design on top with a textured silver base. The interior of the compact has a mirror on the inside of the top and its original silk powder cover in the base. The interior is marked with English hallmarks for Birmingham, Sterling, date code for 1957 a maker's initials for Henry Clifford Davis who started business in 1901.
Measures 3/8" high and 3 1/2" in diameter. Weighs 130 grams.
This nice silver and enamel compact is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minimal signs of normal wear. There are some minor no-harm tarnish specks on the silver back and some faint surface scratches on the enamel top that are called for accuracy and are hardly noticed. The mirror is in very good condition with no noted wear. The hinge is tight and the compact opens and closes securely.
