Description

Austrian Biedermeier Classical silver box, 1836. Rectangular with straight sides and curved corners. Cover hinged and raised with integral tab. Raised ornamental borders with beading in x-form frames at top and bottom. Scrolled armorial keyplate. Originally for the days when sugar was kept under lock and key. A snug receptable today for sweet keepsakes. Fully marked including dated Budapest stamp and word "Pesth".
