    Description

Presented is a fine pair of continental European silver tablespoons or serving spoons. The spoons have handles that are rounded at the tip and widen as the handles meet the bowls. The ends of the handles are monogrammed with JWC. The spoons were likely made in Spain, Portugal or elsewhere in continental Europe. It is difficult to say for certain where they were made. They were probably done in the late 1700s or early 1800s.
The spoons are marked La Lira on the reverse for the maker. They are guaranteed to be at least 850 purity silver.
The condition is excellent. There are no dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The spoons are 8 inches long.
The combined weight is 104.9 grams or 3.7 ounces.
