    Description

Presented is a very nice silver cup made in Continental Europe during the late 1600s through the mid -1700s. There is no question this is an extremely old cup. It is all hand- made. The construction is as one would expect. It is engraved with a crossed fronds around intersecting cursive letters JAC.
The cup is marked on the underside with three marks that are badly struck or very worn. We are not able to identify them.
The condition is very good. The interior has ben cleaned. The bottom edge has a solder repair. The top of edge of the cup has a small solder repair, which is really only visible from the inside. There are no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no other repairs.
The cup measures approximately 1 3/4 inches in diameter and 1 3/4 inches tall.
The cup weighs 52.2 grams or 1.84 ounces.
