Our grates are sold separately from our drain assembly kits and come in a variety of stylish designs with either a chrome/brass or bronze finish. Square drains, in most cases, provide a cleaner more linear look than standard circular drains. An important thing to remember when installing this DIY drain grate is that you will need to design/install the tiles in such a way that they slope towards the drain in order to best guide the water into it. Assemble the accessories in the kit from top to bottom as follows: cool grate of your choice, blue, square construction plug, small slotted metal disc (hair trap), black height adjuster, and bonding flange. Use this to adjust the height of your slim, fast-draining grate so that it is even with your tile. You can even purchase multiple grates to have a replacement on hand. The bonding flange has an outlet that is 2” in diameter. To attach this part of the bonding flange to your plumbing, simply use regular PVC glue.
